Oh, how time has flown. Now we have been in Sweden 4 months already. In 2 weeks we will go back to Asta which is located in Sidney on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Came to Sweden just in time for autumn and right now we are both longing for sun and warmth, maybe Alaska doesn’t exactly meet these criteria, ha ha. We really long to return and expect to live in our woolen coats for a while to come.

So fun to meet all loved ones. You feel how fun it is to see each other again. The feeling when Emil stood there at the airport waiting for us is just wow. Also got to meet Anna for the first time live❤️
Probably the only downside to being out sailing is that you don’t have them close to you. But in today’s modern society, it is easy to see each other online. We talk to mother Evy face daily, just in time for our morning coffee, it’s perfect to talk to Sweden, -9 hours time difference.
Tompi was good and grabbed a lot of pucks right away that we had to graze off to take with us back to the boat. Had several things manufactured here in Gothenburg, prepared parts and bought with us what is needed. Think we’re on track with everything. Next week is quieter for us so I hope we can tie the knot.

Lisa came down to us in October and visited for a weekend and then we went up and visited in Stockholm. Took the train and for both me and Tompi we paid SEK 858 in total T and R, Flixtrain kept the timetable perfectly. Must say Stockholm is a fun city to visit. Wandered around Hagaparken, which is 3 minutes from Lisa, in brilliant weather, so beautiful.

Lisa is now finished with her education, will ”only” defend her thesis this week. Such joy and a new era in life that begins. I think she’s going to Thailand at the same time we’re going to practice Thai boxing while she’s looking for a job. The space industry is world wide, so no idea where she will end up.
Had great luck and worked at the school here in the area even this time we are home. Is so much fun with the children, was a substitute up to grade 3. Worked the last day now. Last week I substituted in a second, the children then turn 9 years old. Such wise individuals and at the same time they are still children. Everything from space projects, proverbs, problem solving in maths, English, etcetera. I think it’s so cool to see how the children develop from preschool class – year 1 – year 2. Fun to have some work colleagues.

Tompi is so happy and content when he puts on his work clothes and goes down to the garage and fixes and donates. This year there has been an unusual amount of car traffic as we have a bunch of older cars in the parking lot, hmmmm. I really think he is cozying up there.
I’ve been out and about more, so fun to meet everyone and come up with some stuff. Lovely to meet the friends at Friskis and train continuously. It won’t be the same when we’re out sailing.

When we discovered the ”joy of food” in Hampus, Peter gave him half a bottle of mustard to make him vomit, but nothing happened. He happily sipped the mustard. It was 56% chocolate and a number of hazelnuts. Noticed nothing more than that he pooped hazelnuts in the 3 days, mother announced. So whenever we eat trilling nuts these days we think of Hampus. Ugh, it could have gotten really bad.

We celebrated Christmas at home with our parents and children. Very nice to celebrate together and see how the devil grows on the ”old ones” during the Christmas gift game, ha ha. Last year we celebrated Christmas in Colombia with Lisa who greeted us on the way home from Australia.

To Tompi’s great joy, we got off to go skiing, it had been 6 years since the last time. Had rented a large cabin in Trysil together with Anneli and Carina and their families during week 2.
We have been friends for 50 years now❤️ It doesn’t feel like that long ago Anneli was waiting for me outside her house and we were going to school.

Now we have invested in a new (used) drone. Let’s hope this one doesn’t meet the same fate as its predecessors.

Now we just have to tie the bag and make sure we have everything we need, a party for Lisa, play Prison Island, fix the house and some other stuff before it’s time to say goodbye.
Over and Out from Mölndal!

Tompi makes rolls on a conveyor belt here at home.
